Anyone paint their muffler?

I just did mine today and WOW what a difference. Got some Krylon stove and grill flat black 1200F paint. I took the muffler off and painted it. Now i see what everyone is talking about with the rubber hangers. They were a pain in the arse. But the finished product looks great. now the HUGE muffler and tailpipe are black and blend in somewhat. Great mod.

Heck, I didn't even use the high heat spray paint. Just regular flat black. It's been on for 2800 miles, through some deep mud and still looks great. No splotching dripping or smearing at all. I did the tail pipe too so it all disappears under there. Oh, also also, I masked and painted the pinch seam along each side. That looks great because you don't even notice it anymore.

Today i tried to remove the muffler, everything was fine until i tried to take out the right side rubber holder, i give it a 9 out of 10 from the impossible rating. 10 being impossible and giving up. I got so angry at the piece of rubber that i decided to call it a day, WD40 and a screwdriver were not enough to pry that thing out of place..... any tips or ideas would be great

My suggestion
I have a very simple solutions for those rubber hangers. I first spray it with WD40 or PB Blaster. I always use a big pair of channel locks...I put one side on the metal hanger tip and I put the other side butted up against the metal hanger but squeezing against the rubber hanger...I then squeeze and it pops right off everytime.
