Of course! No mod would be complete without the celebratory Miller Lite!

I painted mine before the Jeep was a month old (about a year ago)... Saw a couple of browning mufflers on other JKs, which I wanted to avoid.

Touched it up once since.

My regards,

I just did mine today and WOW what a difference. Got some Krylon stove and grill flat black 1200F paint. I took the muffler off and painted it. Now i see what everyone is talking about with the rubber hangers. They were a pain in the arse. But the finished product looks great. now the HUGE muffler and tailpipe are black and blend in somewhat. Great mod.

You don't need to. Even an engine block can be painted in traditional coatings.

Today i tried to remove the muffler, everything was fine until i tried to take out the right side rubber holder, i give it a 9 out of 10 from the impossible rating. 10 being impossible and giving up. I got so angry at the piece of rubber that i decided to call it a day, WD40 and a screwdriver were not enough to pry that thing out of place..... any tips or ideas would be great

I find that dish soap makes them slide better than WD40

I used a liberal amount of WD40 and, instead of channel locks, used a quick grip bar clamp. I was afraid to tear up the rubber hangers. Worked great. Also used it to reinstall.
