Anyone paint their muffler?

Heck, I didn't even use the high heat spray paint. Just regular flat black. It's been on for 2800 miles, through some deep mud and still looks great. No splotching dripping or smearing at all. I did the tail pipe too so it all disappears under there. Oh, also also, I masked and painted the pinch seam along each side. That looks great because you don't even notice it anymore.

Just did mine this afternoon. I can't believe that they rust so fast. You'd think they would either use stainless(I know probably too much $$$), some sort of coating, or at least paint it at the factory to avoid this issue.

Going to be spraying mine as soon as the weather improves, it looks awful after all of the salt this winter.

True, but it'll go away in a few days. I remember back in 1982 when I bought a new 1981 HD Sturgis how bad it smelled the first few hours it ran. For those of you not familiar with that model; just about eveything on it was painted black.
I bought some heat resistant flat black paint a couple of years ago for my Magnaflows on my Magnum. Somehow, I just couldn't bear to painted polished stainless steel. One of these days I'll get around to doing the Rubi's Flowmaster. Here's a before pic.
