That looks great! I didn't realize how bad that muffler looked until I saw the after pictures! I am doing this TONIGHT!!!

I did mine a few week's back... Looks MUCH better than that big a$$ shiney can back there. I painted the tail pipe too. Just left everything right there and got under there and painted it... I think I used some kind of BBQ paint that was good to 1200*.

I pained mine in June. I have put another 5k miles on it since then. It is holding up well. I pulled mine off to spray it but if were to do it again I would leave it on there. The rubber hangers are an SOB to deal with.

Looks much better than the discolored shiny can.

i know most of you dont have the tools at your disposal, but i thought tha power coat would be kinda cool

Painted mine this afternoon.

I didn't do the tailpipe itself.

This was also my first baby step kinda flexing.

It was like that when I bought it off the lot. It's gotten slightly worse since June. I meant to do this the first week I had her, but just got around to it.

Oz Monkey, do you plan on keeping your stock muffler? If you or anyone else in the DC area wants my old stock one that I had removed for a Flowmaster, let me know.

Edit: Oops, never mind, somehow I missed the pics and saw you fixed the problem with paint.

I painted with BBQ paint. It has lasted almost 3,000 miles so far through ice, snow, rain, sleet and sun from Florida to Seattle!
