Default Anyone know what gears im running?

First off, I did search the topic.. Just before I get flamed for this. I just sold my 12 jk sport for a 12 JKU Sahara and I'm wondering what gear ratios the Sahara's come with? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks. It's a manual trans if that helps.

3.21 or 3.73. I would guess 3.21 with the manual. Your dealer should be able to give you a build sheet for the VIN so you can know for sure.

I requested one from jeep, I just purchased the vehicle from a Toyota dealership... I hope the owner didn't trade it in for an FJ!!!

Jack up the rear end. Count the driveshaft revolutions while rotating the tire.
  • Turn the tire 2 complete rotations, Due to it having an open diff. (Do not let it rotate in the opposite direction, with an open diff, the opposite tire will turn in the opposite direction. Block the opposite tire from rotating)
  • If you have posi and both wheels turn in the same direction, then only 1 revolution is needed.
  • The number of times the driveshaft rotates equals the gear ratio.
  • If the drive rotates approx 3 1/4 turns, then you have 3.21 gear ration. If on the other hand it rotates 3 3/4 turns, then you have 3.73's

EDIT: Dang.. posted the same time you mentioned you got your build sheet

Go to jeep.com and regester your JK online with them and create a profile and you can get that info and more there.
