Anyone having issues after 3.6 penta fix?
Just got the word, the heep's finally fixed.
Asked the dealer if there was any issues with break in after the head/cylinder replacement, they say no problem. Apparently Chrysler won't cover the cost of the engine oil though... Lol
I should asked for reimbursement of the oil thu drained, if that's the case..
But seriously, has anyone had issues after the infamous engine tick fix???

'12 JKUR built in August 2011 with the head problem in cylinder #2 at about 8K miles, repaired at 12K miles. I'm now at 35K and no problems at all.

The only stories I have heard of reoccurrence were the early replacements with the same head. I have heard of no problems with the new head. I am waiting for mine to show up because I still have the bad heads at 12k miles still no problems yet.

You could mention it to the mech, it would be beneficial for you to have them look at it, and get paperwork. I went to three different dealers and was told that it was how they sounded, perfectly normal. But unless there was no engine code, they couldn't justify pulling the valve covers off to inspect for improper valve clereances.
The tick on the driver side is normal, so I've read... But there is a second ticking on the passenger side that is associated with the valves.
You should be able to hear the differences.
