my exhaust rattles when i start up cold,i layed under the driver side and beat on all skid plates and nothing then i hit the exhaust and RATTLE

my Jeep started doing this some.. and I thought it was from the skid mods I did...

I never noticed it before... and it does it usually at a start for a stop,, not always... 20% or so

It's probably the heat shield that is on top of the exhaust. They tend to get loose. I have seen this happen to 2 of my friends. It would rattle not so much while it idled, but definitely when they revved the engine. Hopes this is helpful!

i have 2011 just listend and there it was heat shield above !!! im thinkin hmmmm now what iether try and tighten or what will i do to stop the rattle stuff somthing between but its awfully warm inbetween i bet lol i hope its tighting and thats all to fix it ! to cold right now to do anything least i know

Heck man, you have a 2011, still under warranty, make them fix it . But, if your like me, I don't let anyone touch my jeep

I have a 2011 and mine does it also but just for a little until it warms up then it stops. I figured it was some joint that is loose when it is cold and expands when it heats up and stops rattling.

Hmmm guess that means I need to upgrade the exhaust..
