Anyone else notice this????
While engaged in 4x4 low, i have noticed that the dash panel AIR TEMP display does not work. If i engage 4low, and it is 32 degrees . then the display will 32 degrees (even if it is 50 degrees) until i engage 2 hi and drive for a few minutes. It then corrects itself. Called the stealership, and they checked for anyelse who reportred this to Chrysler, so far i am the only one.

There was a long thread about this awhile back. Mine does it too. I'll see if I can locate the thread. But I think the general consensus was that everyone's seems to do this in 4low.

i'm pretty sure this isn't so much a problem with being in 4LO but rather, you need to be moving at about 30 mph or faster for a minute or two in order for a new temp reading to occur. with the engine on and at a standstill or crawling, the heat of the engine will influence the temp sensor which is located just behind your grille.

you have to drive certain amount of time at a certain speed. 4lo is not fst enough fo rit to register so when you on the trail all day going 5mph in 4lo temps will not record.
