Default Annoying rattle coming from rear of jk

Whenever i go over a bump or hit a pothole there is a very loud and obnoxious rattle that comes from the back of my jk. I am pretty sure it is coming from the inside. I know it’s not the factory jack and my spare tire is tight.

I had an internal rattle on my 2008 X 2 door. Source was the bolts securing the hard top had loosened. Snugged them down, rattle gone.

Hope this helps.

Your jeep is 2018? Seems dang new to have an interior rattle. If it were mine, I'd have someone drive it around over bumps while I was in back trying to pinpoint the specific area a bit more.

Chasing rattles sux, but there's not a whole lot that could be rattle around in the interior in back. I really wonder if it's something underneath that just sounds like it's in back. If there is something in the interior, I'd think you'd pinpoint it quickly if it happened while you were riding in back listening for it.

I had a clunking in my '12 over a good bump.
Found it to be where the tailgate latches.
Adjusted the guide and it was gone.
Check there

I'll be the dummy, but when that happened to me it was the emergency jack had come a little loose in its cubby

I'd look at the tailgate latch first - I've had to adjust them on my '07 and '14.
Then check the heat shield between the muffler and the body. The one on my '14 fell off in '18. Replaced with aluminized insulation.
Doubtful on an '18 but the tailgate hinges have been known to go. Makes a horrific clunk when you accelerate from stop or hit a bump. Replaced them with MorRide hinges.
