Too many replies, so I don't know where this was solved, or of my solution has been posted.

I had the same problem, and replaced the intermediate shaft located next to the exhast manifold (Hence why the problem gets worse with heat) and this solved the problem.

Default Are you all using 5th Wheel grease?

Amsoil 5th Wheel spray grease fixed mine, and others. You can get this grease in the mail from a dealer in your area by going to their website. I'm not advertising for them... BUT THIS STUFF WORKS. And, you don't have to remove the boot. There may be other spray 5th wheel greases available. When you use this stuff, you'll understand.. it's somwhere between grease, and glue.... it will stick your fingers together. (Wear gloves.. cause this stuff is real hard to wash off.)

I think using the wrong grease is why some of you are still messing with this.

Mine was fixed instantly, and has lasted 6 months... and I live in FL where it's pretty hot... which seemed to aggravate the original problem.

Good Luck!

I'm going to have to look into this as well. I've been experiencing the same since 750 miles. I've got my 1000 mile checkup and I'm going to see what my dealership has to say about it. I'll probably point them at the forum and see if they are willing to do the work. Otherwise I guess I'll be buying doing it myself.

The dealer order me a whole new steering column. They were really sorry for everything and it will be in in a few days and when it arrives i get a rental free of charge. A new way to cooperate with dealers is show them that your really pissed. coool.
