I have the streering clunk, was 3 times at the dealer and no use, and the third time was today just got it out, and i don't have any more energy to fool around with them. And i greased up the boot too and still its there. i took a photo of the steering next to the firewall maybe someone could tell me if something is wrong. i took the exact same spot someother pics where taken but can't see anything wrong, maybe iam missing something.

But the boot i already filled it with grease, i read that thread and made a tiny hole in the boot and stuck the hose in and sprayed half a can of grease in there and still its clunking.

well in my case the tiny hole did not fix it I had to take the shaft apart ... open the boot clean... and the lubricate everything (inside the boot) remember the bottom shaft its composed of two pieces one inside the other(covered by the boot) so it can expand and contract .. you have to lubricate and clean the teeth inside the boot... Hope this helps..
