  • Without a doubt you'll get four doors
  • Get a little more power, but let's face it. It's a Jeep not a top-fuel dragster.
  • I bet the better fuel economy in a 2012 will never be realized. Changing your driving habits might yield a bigger impact.
Hope this helps
x2. I just bought a 2011 JKU, love it. The power is fine for me. The only thing worth trading up for would be the extra room.

I purchased a 2011 JKU at the end of Feb this year. I paid 26K for it. I traded it in on a 2012 in Sept and I got 24,500 for it and it had 9,000 miles on it. My wife and I are definitely happy with the 2012 and the Dozer color. If you can work a deal definitely do it.

Just bought 'an 11 last April and now I want to trade it in for a '12.
The things that make me want to do it? Well, I want a four door, more power, alittle better fuel economy(I drive 60 miles round trip everyday).
I'm just trying to justify this, any thoughts?
My stepdaughter just bought her 07 Sahara 8 months ago for 24,000. She wanted to trade it in for a new Wrangler and was offered 11,500. She still has the 07!

$11,500? It makes me sick how these dealers take advantage of people. Lol I would have punched the salesperson in the mouth for insulting my intelligence. They would have turned around and sold it for $20k or more

Last dealer I checked with offered me $11500 on my 2007 too, I told them thanks, but not unless they included the salesman's daughter.

I just picked up an '07 X Saturday. If that's what they are offering on a trade then I paid to much, lol. Before I jumped in I priced the local auctions and did my share of searches. Auctions were going for around 14k, dealers only, with around 50k miles. How many miles are on your '11?

Here are some Florida dealer auction numbers for 2011 from Florida. These are from yesterday. All of these are 2 door sport models.

2011 JEEP WRGLR4X4 SPT 6G SUV O PS PB AC RT 4X4 15,831 SILVER $24,600
2011 JEEP WRGLR4X4 SPT 6G SUV A PS PB AC RT 4X4 22,709 GREEN $23,600
2011 JEEP WRGLR4X4 SPT 6G SUV O PS PB AC RT 4X4 22,192 SILVER $23,600

2010s

2010 JEEP WRGLR4X4 SPT 6G 4SUV O PS PB AC RT 4X4 10,208 GREEN $21,400

These are auctions prices and seem to be very strong. I would imagine that the dealer would pay you auction prices for a trade-in since he could always send it to the auction if it couldn't sell on his lot. I wouldn't trade mine in for any less than the current auction price.

These numbers look retail more than auction

Why would a dealer pay more than it costs new let alone you can buy a 2012 at the same price or cheaper.
