Desert Drifter

It seems to me the accelerator pedal in the Wrangler seems harder to push than normal. Driven and owned a lot of cars and this pedal has some serious stiffness to it. Is it me?

I really have to mash it to unleash the 202 fierce ponies.

Not really an issue, just an observation.

What year is yours? Mine is very stiff(08) but my friends 2010 is feather light.

Didn't know if there was a mod for this. I'll look it up.

Searched and I see some guy complained about the same issue as mine, removed the pedal, removed one of the springs and liked it much better.

The acceleration is smooth, it's just harder to push than other fly by wire pedals I've experienced.

My '11 has a VERY stiff pedal. If it wasn't for cruise control, I wouldn't want to drive this thing on a long trip. I actually took it to a dealership recently for this very issue. Said there was nothing they could do.

My 07 pedal seems normal.

Maybe I am just used to it by now though, or wore the springs out.

I have an '09 and the pedal seems very stiff also. I got used to it I guess but my wife always complains when she drives it.
