Default ABS light and traction control light wont go off???

So I had to replace the dash frame and heater box in my jeep this past weeks. Disassembled the dash down to the firewall and put it all back together. After starting her up, the ABS light and the traction control light are now lit up and my brake lights do not go off. I disconnected the battery to keep from draining the battery, but I really have no clue what could be causing this?? everything is plugged back in where it should be so im not sure what it is i may have missed... any suggestions?

Im thinking it has to be a loose conection somewhere, but i cant think where it might be. i dont think its the clock spring. everything was working just fine before. and it actually did the same thing once before but only lasted a few minutes. that time i tightened up the battery connections and it went right off...

I had the same thing happen but it was a failed wheel speed sensor. Though if it wasn't doing it before you took things apart and it is now, I doubt that would be your problem.

A bad wheel speed sensor will not trigger the abs light...only ESP/BSP light

guess you have to have a real controversial topic to get good feedback on this forum...

No it definitely throws the ABS as well. I've done it twice now, broke each sensor while not being careful installing ball joints.

Both my ABS light and the traction control light were on when I had my issue. The brakes would also act as if they were trying to correct for wheelspin or a slide that wasn't really happening. The dealer replaced my front passenger wheel bearing that had worn enough to ruin the wheel speed sensor on the same wheel (also replaced the sensor). I have had no problems since.
