ABS/ESP/BAS Lights on the Dash

ABS/ESP/BAS Lights on the Dash
I was driving around a roundabout yesterday and it had just started to rain. My Jeep did a bit of a tail slide, like a sprint car. No biggie, I gathered it back up and just as I started to wonder why the ESP didn't kick in, my dash lit up. The ESP and BAS lights, along with the ESP off light, the parking brake light, and the ABS light all came on and the ABS and stability control are both non-functional.
Anyone else have this? I'm guessing it could be as simple as an ABS sensor gone bad or as big as the whole ABS module going belly up. I'm getting ready to make an appointment at a good local shop to get it looked at.

You don't have a scanner that can read/clear the code real quick? I wouldn't jump to worst-case scenario thoughts just yet of ABS module crapping out. I bet you have a simple sensor issue. I've had sensor issues before, and I've also just had flukes happen when it was raining out and caught just a quick slide like you did. This is where a cheap, simple tool like Jscan app + dongle really shine and they are practically dummy-proof. If that were my jeep, I'd start by seeing what the code thrown was, simply clear it, and monitor to see if it pops back up immediately or soon or if it was a fluke.

I will see tomorrow if it threw a code.

this just popped up on my 2007 Rubicon.......... I centered my steering wheel, then turned it all the way to the left, then all the way to the right, re-centered it and shut it up. Once I started it up and drove it went away. (found it on another post/site). I did check mine with a code reader (nothing fancy) but it didn't register a code at all. Gonna see if it pops back up (been gone 2 days now) and hit a parts store and use their code reader.

I will give that a try! When the tail came out, I quickly corrected and drove it like a sprint car for a second, so maybe that threw it off! I'll let you know how it goes. Maybe hard fast and significant steering input throws it off!
So the lights went off on their own, or did you have to shut it down and wait a few seconds? My lights go off when the Jeep is shut down, but reappear after driving 20 or 30 feet.
I'll try it in a few hours, after I get home from work. If it doesn't work, It'll go in the local shop tomorrow morning.

I've had mine go off on their own and be fine for a few days. Coming home one night after work I'll get a little pull from the brakes in the driveway (slight turn) and that was my tip off that the sensor needed replacement.

I recently posted some topics on my 2014 jk with abs/traction control lights. Code reader said it was left rear sensor. I replaced it with Three different sensors, and changed the wire connector at the wheel. That didn't fix my problem. What fixed it was disconnecting the abs connector under the hood, spraying it with deoxit spray, then reinstalling the connector. So apparently my problem was a flaky electrical connection in the big abs connector.
