Default Abnormal Brake Wear

So after an oil change, I was told by one of the techs that my rear brakes are wearing down really fast and are abnormally low for a vehicle with only 10,000 miles on it. I don't drive fast everywhere, or slam on the brakes a bunch, or anything like that so what could be causing this??? Any ideas?????

Not sure what is causing this, but it seems to be a common problem...
