7 secs to shift?
#1
Want to know if you would/I should make a dealer appointment for this.
Wheeling this weekend after I freshly shifter (fully) into 4 lo, the trans "broke free". As to say the revs climbed like it was in neutral when I applied a decent pressure on accelerator. This happened a few times before she calmed down. The trans would grab again when revs dropped back down. No grinding.
2012 automatic with 19k. Lifted 2" running 285-70-17s
Also it was taking 7 seconds for reverse to engage after I shifted.
Other than that she conquered trails that day as I led 4 rigs through feet of snow.

I guess that's possible. The only thing I really did before the climbing revs ordeal was putt up a long dirt hill road in 2 and 4hi, that could do it I suppose although that would be super weak.
The 7 seconds to shift thing, I was admittedly running it hard there.

You think I should write it off then? I'm switching to 37s soon so I'm thinking it's kind of now or never. But likely ill just hear "unable to duplicate" and waste my time and money.

Most likey they would not be able to duplicate it but if you are under warranty it might be good to have it documented just in case the transmission lets loose on you.
If it cooked for too long your clutch plates would be shot.

Just checked the ATF. Slightly confused. I checked it cold because I'm out the door right now and don't have time to start it up and let it warm up. I'm taking a work car at the moment. If anything it's way overfilled? Level covers all 4 holes (2 lower for cold and 2 upper for hot). It still has a nice red color. Doesn't smell burnt but a little skanky... Is that a thing?
