Default 35's on a "Stock" 2dr sport

Ok, spurred by this thread https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...-close-287692/ where I was looking to downsize my recently acquired 35's to a more manageable set of 32/33's for easier fitment. i'm 2nd guessing my thought to jump right into it and run 35's on my 2012 sport. Currently my only mod is Rubi shocks/springs from a JKUR (I think they were 18/58's), but after looking into it I found that I may need to do a few things first. General consensus is that i'll probably have to:
Cut or fold the rear pinch seam
Put on at least a 2-3" lift
Cut the front bumper
remove the front air dam
Run wheel spacers
Possibly remove my nerf bars (I don't think they'd trim well)

Now many in my trade thread seem to think they'll be fine. I'm not so sure, and I for sure don't want to get them mounted and balanced only to find them rubbing everything. Then i'd have to get them dismounted and drop in size anyway. I'd rather go ahead and trade them now before I even bother getting them mounted. So, for those of you that do run them what did you do and how much rubbing is there?

2.5b teraflex bb (or similar), pinch seem trim, wheel spacers, and bumpstops should do the job! Maybe trim your fenders to add more usable travel

But this is exactly what i'm trying to avoid. I don't want to get into all of this just yet since the jeep is only a few months old. (Bought it in April when the dealers were clearance selling the 12's)

I had the 35's on a stock 2dr sport without trimming anything- nerf bars or anything.

You will need wheel spacers to keep the wide tires off of the suspension. If you are going to start wheeling it then you'll want to consider a little lift or at least some bumpstop (hockey pucks) to keep the tire from tearing the flares off.

Mine will see minimal offroad, but it will go offroad at some point.

I saw a thread somewhere in which a guy had installed a Teraflex levelling kit in order to temporarily get 35s to fit on an otherwise stock X. With no/minimal offroading and keeping sway bars connected, that sounds like it might be a cheap stopgap measure for you until you decide what you want to do with it. (Keep in mind, I'm speaking from hearsay, not experience.)

I have no desire to get into trimming, either, but if you want to fit 35s on stock wheels, something has to give. You can run spacers AND a small lift OR you can trim fenders. Otherwise, it's a no-go.

You'll have to lift or go flat flares, trim and get back spacing at 4.5" or less to roll 35" rubber. You gotta pay to play. Sounds like you should go with some Rubicon take offs or 32"-33" tires.

Yeah. I think that's my plan, find some rubi take offs or something similar.

Seems every Jeep is a little different. I put a 2.5" BB on my 2-door, 35's, 4.5" BS wheels. I rubbed the air dam. Two choices: trim it, or remove it. I just took it off (super easy). Jeep looks better without it anyway.

If you've got money for 35's, why not spend $250 for a TF 2.5" BB?
