I have a 2 door with pentastar. Will it feel dogish with 3.21?
If it's reprogrammed will I have to worry about shift points on the highway?
I just orderd Firestone Destination AT's in this size for my 2012 auto 3:21's, a MUCH LIGHTER tire than the other's so I shouldn't take a hit to bad with these being their only 7pounds heavier rather than 15 + with other brands now don't get me wrong the other brands I'm sure are good ( BFG I have experience with ) but wanted lighter & with the screwey weather we have here in New England they get me through anything pretty much, first tried them on my old Liberty liked them & bought a set for my wifes Liberty & she loves them also rarely have to use 4x4 in the snow, now buying them for my JK, JUST ANOTHER OPTION TO CONSIDER , MY RIM'S ARE 17 X 9 LEVEL 8 STRIKE 5'S

When I bought my Jeep a few weeks ago it came with BGF's KM2 285/70r17's. I test drove the stock with 255's also and honestly I didn't notice any difference in power during my test drive. I didn't go through all the postings on this thread but if it doesn't have to be an MT tire you need, consider the Toyo AT2's. I had them on my previous truck. Put 30k miles on them and still had more then 60% tread left. Performed awesome in snow and rain.

Edit

I also have 3.21 gears

So you have no lift on this truck ? I love the way it looks I wanna do wheels and tires on my jku sport but am worried about rub in a full turn or on bumps. Do you ever rub with those wheels ? Also does the rubie stand taller than my sport ?

I have a 2" Mopar lift with my setup. I'm so green in the Jeep world, wish I could tell you what would fit or not.

[QUOTE="jeepmojo;3800251"]I got mb 72 wheels the tires are actually 32 inches in height so no procal was needed at all I swap back and forth from my stock wheels to my nitto and no need to program anything the nitto trail grapplers are super smooth and heavy side walls like armor more aggressive than duratracs too and they superceed in rain snow and mud also ive heard duratrac can be spongy in corners that's all I needed to hear to make the choice ! <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/

How much bigger ante your other rims and tire than the stock set ? I really like the look is there any rubbing in full turn or bumps ?

I recently posted about my experience going to 33's. The OP might find some of it helpful even though mine is the older 2008 3.8L.

no rubbing at all they are 285/70/16 on mb72 wheels from dtd and the actual tire height is 32 on both they don't hit anywhere just as the stockers they are wider so it has a good stance I like them but you wont gain height if that's what your looking for I personly don't like a tall jeep I like it low . I may be in the minority group but I just like the low rugged look i prefer over the height , im not rock crawling so I don't care about clearance and to be honest theres a thread on the sticky thing about lifts and its true you don't gaim much you loose in some cases, and the axle height stays the same unless you go up to a 37 prob , ive had lifts on trucks and the axle stays low and so yeh the truck looked tall but wasn't realy any better than if it were lower Click image for larger version
