First noticed at 5k and they said if they messed with it it would get worse. Oil level never has dropped noticeably. Don't think it is the timing chain cover because the leak is too high and definitely isolated to the gasket line.

It’s going to be a long day at the dealership:

Warranty Stuff being checked out:
1. Leaking front diff cover since new no drips.
2. Leaking and Squalling front Pinion for last 6k miles no drips yet
3. Clunky Steering like everyone else
4. Check for manifold cracks.
4. Engine Leak as mentioned above
5. Seem to always loose a little antifreeze from the overflow bottle
6. Right front tire feathering from day one. They gave me a re-alignment at 3K but didn't seem to make a difference.

Hell Roof leaks are least of my concerns
Welcome to the club..

Leaking Soft Top
Torque Converter Shudder
Clunky Steering
Rough Idle
Leaking Tranny Seal
Squeaking Brakes

So far, none it has been fixed.

Yea but mine JK is a Mall Cruiser/Grocery Getter. Just think if I used it like advertised in the latest JK commercials where they act like it is a rollercoaster in the desert?

Had a couple of Jeeps with the 4.0, great motors! The 3.8, I have gotten used to it and I am going to work with it. My jeep runs great, knock on wood I havent had any troubles with it and I love it! The jeep has over 20000 miles and it rocks! When its time I will go buy another new one to replace this one! I just hope they offer the SRT HEMI as an engine option from the factory! Too much money to swap out now! My 3.8 is going to have to work for me now!

I just bought a used one with 49K miles. Engine is smooth as silk. First time I checked the oil after a 200 mile trip I was shocked to see it down a quart, but it was just serviced, so I topped it off and it has not dropped since.

I do have a cracked Ex manifold, but that will be replaced next week. Other than that, I am very thrilled to not see water or other fluid leaks, and everything seems to work as advertised. I figured with 49K miles I am probably among the higher mileage group and the rig seems to be just fine (so maybe there is hope after the bugs are worked out).

I must say, as my first Jeep....it really is a "Jeep thing" as I enjoy every moment of driving it. It was particularly fun when stuck in traffic the other day, to just pull over the curb, across a vacant field and out to another road. My wife said every guy behind me had a look on their face that said "I want one......"

Default wheel like advertised

I wheel like the commercial that shows the JK like a roller coaster- sand dune and trail/river crossing- no problems so far. About 20k miles. Joe

Ours is rough at idle also.
