I can speak from experience... check the water pump. They can develope a leak at the bottom from the gasket and coolant ends up taking the exact path you stated, ending up around the front edge of the oil pan.

Check the water pump. My 07 started leaking around 45K miles. The fluid ran down and along the oil pan. Replaced it myself about a year ago for about $60. No more leak. Seems like a pretty common problem with JKs.

If the leak is coming from the underside of the water pump; then I would suspect the coolant is coming from the weep hole which indicates the shaft seal is starting to go bad.
Seems really early for a water pump to go bad... at 45K miles....
The '02 GC w/ 4.0L has 170K on original and the '98 XJ w/ 4.0L had 112K when the weep hole started seeping...

Shoot! I'm at 48K on my 2010 just noticed last week my over flow bucket was empty, so I topped it off Lol
I guess I should go ahead and change it out even though I don't smell antifreeze or see any leaks. Some good PM work before jeep beach
Are all water pumps good to go? Any to stay away from?
