that kinda stuff dosent bother me either, but to my parents it does. we have jeeps, but never a wrangler, so they dont understand how us true jeepers think . they hate the half doors cuz of the plastic. i dont mind them, in fact i like them but they dont get it. so basically a par of half doors are keeping me from getting the car of my dream   :whoaisme:

can i order full doors anyware with out any problems? if i had to id trade mine for a pair of full doors.

I am sure you could get someone to trade door for door for half to full

You could always ask your Dad if he'd go for the Jeep if you traded for full doors. Then get the Jeep. Then take your time finding a trade for the doors.... By that time, your Dad may come around and the half doors won't bother him so much.

Why exactly does your Dad not want half doors? Is he going to be driving it a lot? If it's a security concern, then you don't want a soft top at all.

Take a look at Field's Jeep in Northfield for a price comparison. They have a few used hard top jeeps, but for a few thousand more. You may be able to justify the soft top to your dad since the price is right.

Run a carfax or autocheck on it. Look it over really well and make sure none of the bolts have been turned indicating body work.

Ask them about its history. How they acquired it? Was it a trade? Why did the previous owner trade it?

Odds are everything is fine with it, but never hurts to double check.

BTW, it looks really good and seems well priced!

The average JK is retaining 78% of its sticker price, the highest of any new vehicle according to Consumer Reports. So, that sounds like a fair deal...

it is, and even with a deal as good as that I'm still battling them about those damn doors. they just don't get it that its not a big deal to get full doors :(

you guys have any ideas i can say to them to convince them? i got a dad who thinks he knows everything about jeeps, and a mom who doesn't know the difference between a mini cooper and a Ferrari

You'll really have to ask your folks why they don't like the half doors. Only then can you have a rational conversation with them. What's the issue? Security, inconvenience, looks, maintenance? Get their concerns out on the table and then have a calm conversation. Then get that Jeep before it gets away!
