2014 Jeep Wrangler ticking
I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler with 30,000 mi on it. I started to hear a loud ticking so I took it by the dealership and they told me it was my lifters. I read the 2012 had problems with this but I got a 2014. About two weeks ago the engine light was coming on for the cam sensor they eventually had to replace the wire harness cause there was a short somewhere. I wondering if this has to do with the problem I'm having now. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Is your jeep an automatic and/or does the ticking go away after a minute or so from a cold start ? Or was it continuous even after warm up? Did the ticking stop after the wiring harness replacement ?

I have a 2013 it started ticking at 12000, now I'm at 26k and still ticks. ticks when cold , ticks when warm, ticks continusly. I have taken it in to dealership twice both times they say totally normal, I don't agree , but it still drives great and I fiiqure that what warranty is for. I know the 2012 had problems but it does seem later models have noisy lifters. Im not gonna worry about it, Enjoy.
