Default 2012 Transmission leak

I have a transmission fluid line right in front of and below the power steering pump that rubbed against the line next to it so bad that it rubbed a hole right through it! Almost drained all of my Transmission Fluid... at the dealership now being fixed. Hopefully this will not be a common problem for others, just be aware of any pink fluid leaks just under the PS pump.

They can't repair the line to get you back on the road? It's not like it carries 3,000 psi, but hell, I've repaired those on airplanes many times.

I suppose I could try, but it's in a very tight spot and I work out of town... Wouldn't want to risk the 370 trip one way relying on a patch job by yours truly

Well, I wouldn't fix it while under warranty, either, but I'm wondering why they don't do something, since doing nothing means 2 weeks out of commision.

Woohoo! Dealer gave the Rubi a VOR code (vehicle off road)... well, at least they told me they did... and they got my part in and had the Jeep back on the road yesterday! Unfortunately, I am out of the state, so my wife gets to enjoy :(

From what he said, it just lets Chrysler know that the vehicle isn't mobile, so it makes it a "priority" for receiving the part. Who knows if its true or he was blowing smoke, but at least it didn't take 2 or more weeks!
