Default 2012 jkur engine temp rising, anyone else?

I just got back from a 1300 mile road trip in my Stock JK unlimited rubicon. For the first 150 miles I towed a army jeep on a flatbed in about 95 degree heat. It was probably right around 3500 pounds with jeep+Trailer. The engine temp was fine on the flat roads, but any of the long grades, my engine temp would rise to the 3/4 mark and stay there until the road flattened out again. Is this normal?
Also, in 4lo, crawling along on some desert trails in about 95 degree temps, the temp gauge would occassionaly climb to the 3/4 mark, then back down to normal. Has anyone else experienced any elevated temp issues, and do you think this is normal?
Thanks

if its not in the red dont worry temps can climb under load but as long as the fan kicks on and it doesnt get in the red you should be fine

It is completely normal for the temperature to rise on a vehicle when it is placed under a heavier load than normal. As long as the temp gauge does not go into the red you are fine. Your temp rises when you are crawling due to the low air flow through the radiator. This is completely normal.

I will add that you might what to take a good look infront of the radiator to make sure no plastic bags or mud has clogged any fins. I've gotten plastic bags in my radiators twice. Other than that I wouldn't be worried.

Default Engine Temp

I have always used coolant additive in all my vehicles. Just added the Lucas rad. additive to little green, the stuff works.

Mine seems to fluctuate somewhat even when not under load. Idling at a stoplight on a hot day for example.

Mine does the same. Not 3/4, but it goes from just under the halfway mark to just over the halfway mark. It's definitely noticeable enough that I konw I am not seeing things. Saw it happen again only a week or so ago.
