2012 Jeep JK Unlimited Sport S - 3.6L Pentastar Engine
Good Morning all,
Need some help, advice, and maybe a new engine ha. Long story short, on my way to oil change, Jeep started running rough, stalled out - now it won't crank over. Swapped battery cleaned terminals, have power and electrical - but check engine light is flashing but I get no "dash codes".
I am not an engine mechanic or expert, I am your typical Jeep owner garage repair owner. So I am looking to milk any ideas and suggestions from this forum who has always helped me in the past. Thank you in advance!

usually flashing CEL is severe misfire. You've performed a full diagnostic scan and pull nothing? The engine is turning over and trying but just won't crank? I wouldn't jump to conclusions of needing a new engine yet, but you're likely heading down the path or figuring out why it's misfiring so bad it won't run. Electrical? Timing? Fuel delivery? Spark? Could be a host of things.

That is my sentiment. I have only had my dealership scan it and before they did, I was getting an evap leak and a thermostat code. Once they plugged in their module, all my codes disapeared and they had all these engine codes pop on their Dell computer once they hooked up their module by USB. Not sure I trust that method. Especially after we swapped the battery, cleaned the terminals and they jumped right to a "seized engine" and the 2nd service worker mentioned that if she got her bonus, she was going to offer me "$1,000 as is" for my lifted Jeep JK with teraflex suspension accessories, shocks, stabilizers, control arms, aftermarket wheels and tires.
FYI this was at Pellegrino Jeep in Woodbury, NJ. They seemed real sketchy about the whole situation and needless to say, I will never go back after that experience.

There’s a lot going on there. For starters, the evap related items shouldn’t interfere with the engine cranking. Neither should the thermostat code. I’ve never seen the P1524 code which appears to be oil pressure related when searching. I’m not sure why it displays as “anti fouling spark function” there. So obviously the big concern here is oil pump related with the P06DD, P1524, and P0521. Y, none of that is good since it started running rough, stalled, and now won’t crank. If that were my jeep I’d pull the spark plugs and try to turn that engine over by hand via the crank bolt and see what it feels like. That oil pump is a common issue on these jeeps and if that failed and starved everything of lube……it wouldn’t take long to go kaput.
