Default 2011 steering wheel buttons - they suck

I have an issue with the buttons on my steering wheel in my 2011, particularly the cruise on/off. Seems half the time, cruise wont turn on. I can't tell if its an electrical issue, or a physical issue with the button. I need to take it into the dealer, but I don't have another vehicle, and I know they will want to keep it to replicate the problem. Sometimes I can go 10-15 minutes, pressing the cruise button, and nothing. Then out of nowhere, it will just decide to work.

Anyone else have this problem?

My cruise on the 11JKU quit after about 3 months. Before that it would only work about half the time. Don't really have time to get to the dealer just for this, but guess I need to while it still has warranty.

I'm acctually haveing this same problem right now, its been to the dealer three times and now I'm waiting for the cruise control switch to come in so they can install it. They've tried resetting the computer and updating the software with no change.

My 11 does this too. I have the ECU update that was supposed to "fix" it. Buttons still only work half of the time.

The steering wheel buttons on my 2011 work whenever they feel like working, which is usually not when I want them to work. They have the cheesy feel or "click" of a membrane switch (JUNK).

It's disturbing that so many others have this issue. Steering wheel buttons have been around well over 20 years... how can they get this wrong? This is the only real issue I have with the JK, other than that I love it. Thanks for all the responses.
