so after a few days of playing at the hammers i have been cleaning out my jeep and noticed the OD button had some dirt and such around it. i cleaned the area up and went on my way. when i went to turn the OD off the button got stuck. i had to pry it up to unstick it. i found myself wondering why jeep didnt use a sealed button? anyone else have this problem, and how hard it it to take the console cover off?

Not sure why they didn't make it sealed, but as far as taking the center console cover off, I believe it's only like 4 screws...if not, maybe 6. It's not hard.

I had tje same issue with my 11. dealer orderd me a new shifter. But they r on back order. Must be a common issue

Jeep installed a new shifter in mine because sand got in it... I would bring it in. once it gets stuck, it will always stick. Try it out you will see. Now when on the beach i put taper over it.

Sticky from day 1 too. Havent had to pry it up yet. Comes free with a little wiggle and grunt.
