2011 JK 6spd issues...anyone have any?
Searched the threads for 2011 6spd tranny issues and could not find any for this year so I figured I would send this on out. I wanted to know if anyone else has a 2011 JK with tranny issues, mine is a 6spd sport with only 1,700 miles on it, never in the dirt or 4WD (I know its unthinkable, but work and family calls) and it sounds like my throw out bearing is going out. I called the dealership to inquire about a loaner and they asked if I purchsed the plan for that?????? So with only 1,700 miles I need a plan for them to give me a loaner while they fix my new jeep??????? I had my TJ in the mud hard the first day I had it and no issues, but my JK does not even have the factory chalk marks on the frame rubbed off yet. If anyone has a clue let me know.

At 1804 miles, my throw out bearing was toast on my '11 JKU. Took it to the dealership and 2 days later, she had a new throw bearing. Didn't have any in stock at the time, which is why it took an extra day. Didn't offer me a rental/loaner so had to get a ride to/from work. Luckily, they covered it under warranty. At the time, I had it about a month. Now 2.5 months later and almost 5K miles, no issues.

My 2010 with a 6 speed has been running great since I bought it new. 34,000miles. Dont think there is any difference between 2010 and 2011. Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Thanks for the input, I love my jeep and cant wait to get it dirty, but sometimes you get one with issues. Hopefully the dealership can get it in and done quickly with no more worries.

I have a early model 07. I had the throw out bearing replaced 3 times by the dealership while driving stock. They said it was due to water getting in there, which never happen unless you count washer fluid spray.
After dealing with the dealers crappy repairs and customer service I left it alone and it squealed like a banshee. I finally replaced the clutch plate and all the parts with after market ones. I've taken the jeep rock crawling, fording through water and loose sand. Not one problem.
I think the main problem is they parts are mopar.

I had the throwout bearing replaced under warranty on my 2011. It was making a ticking noise that went away when the clutch was depressed. No loaner for me, either - I bought a Jeep not a fancy import
