Default 2010 jk rear bumper cover

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the JK forums and look forward to interacting and viewing your Jeeps and mods along the way.

I recently bought my wife a 2010 JK Wrangler Sport with 40K miles on it. She loves this thing and has even named it... Finny Pearl.
In the very near future I plan a small lift (2" - 2.5") new wheels (hopefully Fuel wheels) and tires of course. But I'm trying to attack and fix some small issues first. I noticed that the stock rear bumper cover has 2 bolts at each end that hold it in place. While underneath the Jeep I noticed that 1 of the bolts and threaded grommets are missing. I've searched everywhere trying to find a replacement bolt and grommet without any luck. I did replace the bracket because the old one was bent. But the cover is real flimsy because of the missing grommet. Thanks in advance for any help locating this grommet.

I even called the dealer... I either have to buy a new factory bumper cover or upgrade to an aftermarket bumper. Any suggestions on an affordable good looking rear bumper?

Took a look at in parts and it doesn't seem like I have the part you speak of.. Are you talking about the part that slides into the frame rails where the tow hook goes into..

It's right behind the rear passenger tire. There is a "L" shaped bracket that has 2 bolts that connect the bracket to the frame, then 2 other bolts/holes that connect and pull the bumper cover towards the jeep. I'll see if i Can find a pic.

Sorry for the crude drawing, but 1 (bumper) attaches to 2 (bolt). I'm missing the threaded grommet in the bumper cover that allows this. Thanks for the help anyhow Aug.
