2008 Stock Rubicon Unlimited Questions?
Can someone who owns a 2008 Rubicon Unlimited let me know how they like it based on interstate and city driving? I am looking to get one as my everyday driver; and living in Houston, TX I am scared that might not be a wise choice. I would probably put 15 - 20 miles a year on it and most of that will be city and interstate driving. Can you use a vehicle like this for that type of driving or am I really better off getting the Sahara instead?
I would appreciate any thoughts you might have!
Thanks!

Shouldn't be an issue
I drive 200 miles a day highway with my Rubi. The only issue I have is going over mountains. Because of the steep climb I can't maintain my 80mph and have to get over in the slow lanes. Other than that... Get a Rubi or a Sahara either one will do fine for what your looking at. Realistically though if your only going to put 15-20 miles on it a year... why waste your money on the Rubi when your probably not going to use the options that the Rubi provides???

You'd be wasting your money on a Rubi if your not going to be taking it off-road.
If you like the looks of the Unlimited and don't mind the gas hit, look at a Sahara. The Sahara will give you the looks and the creature comforts you'd want in a SUV
Personally, if I weren't going to use the Jeep for off-road driving, I'd look at something else. There are alot better options out there for on-road driving that would keep you happier in the long run.
