Does anyone know if there was a 3.73 option for the 2008 JKUS? I was sure that I had 3.21 but my Jeep is being repaired following an accident and they put in a 3.73. BTW this was a dealership. But I'm pretty sure they put in the wrong gearing.

Your 2008 6 speed could have come with either 3.21 or 3.73 gears.
If you want to know what the new axle should be to match, go to the other axle and do this:

Jack one tire off the ground.
Put an chalk mark on the tire and the drive shaft.
Rotate the tire by hand 2 complete revolutions.
The number of turns on the drive shaft will be the gear ratio.
A little less than 3¼ will be 3.21 gears.
A little less than 3
¾ will be 3.73 gears.

Thank you. I'm finding out quickly that I was probably wrong about the 3.21. Not sure how I screwed that up but all info I found originally had said 3.21. According to dealer, build sheet says 3.73.. a nice surprise but I feel like a bit of an idiot :-/
