2007 JK Won't Start Up Intermittently
2007 Jeep JK Rubicon with 75k miles recently hasn't been starting up intermittently and it seems to be occuring more often. When I turn the key to start it up it will seemingly try to crank/turn over one time then nothing. After 5-10 tries over the course of a few minutes I've been able to get it running each time. Replaced the battery and starter, tested the alternator and no signs of a problem. No pattern of the Jeep being hot/cold when this happens. Myself and my mechanic are completely stumped. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

This was my issue and it was a $5 fix. You just need to replace the bushing that is under the center console and links the transmission cable to the gear shift..

Update: I ended up running a new 0 Guage ground wire from the battery negative terminal to one of the alternator mounting bolts and since then haven’t had any more start up problems. Hopefully that did the trick!
