If yes to BOTH questions, then you have the lifetime warranty.

If the dealer says no, ask what the basis of denial is.

It's a surprise to me that it includes the 2006 model year (leftover).
Damn I bought mine in March as a birthday present to myself

My 2008 motor was rattling for months before I took it in at 30k miles. Bearing was going bad, a rod or two was shot, the lifters were damaged, and the block itself was toast... And it was till running just fine

Anyway, my head was rebuilt and a new shortblock was put in.

My '07 engine went at 52K. Chrysler said 3/36. I got an '10 engine from AEV with 28 Miles on it and put it in myself. Now my ball joints are shot. I never had problems with Jeeps before.

Well I got good news, maybe. After showing the unlimited power train doc to the dealer and making Chrysler aware there's a chance my jk will be covered in full for this repair. Cross your fingers, toes n eyeballs for me guys!

I'll keep y'all posted

This problem with engines going bad is like 07 specific or is it happening in all the year models?

Oil and filter changes are only $9.95 every Friday at the Jeep dealership where I bought my 08 GC.

I feel for the OP totally..!! I had to lemon law my 08 JK because of electrical issues!! that was a 6 month ordeal!..

I got an 09 as a replacement... it was perfect...

got a 2010 now as i wanted to go to a 2 door... I always check the oil at each fill-up as ive done on every vehicle for many years..

noticed the other day that it looked like condensation droplets on the dip-stick.. coolant level little low...

took it in... yep WATER IN THE OIL! at 4,400 miles.. (not 44 thousand.. 44 hundred)....

dealer "pressure tested" found no issue they claim.. changed the oil and sent me on my way,,.... told me to "keep an eye on it"...
