2007 Freedom top on a 2009
Can someone tell me if a 2007 Freedom top will fit on an 09? I've got someone coming next weekend to pick it up and don't want to waste their time if it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.

The tops are different for a short answer. The lift off panels center latch is in a different location. It will bolt onto the jeep and look right as they are the same size. But he will have to buy an older latch system for it. Beside for that it will fit his jeep fine. IMO it's 07-08 tops all 09-10 for 2 dr 4 dr byitself

You're good sandorsnow. It will fit just as though the 09 JEEP was an 07. The other way around is when you start running into issues with the footman's loop.
07-08 on an 09+=GOOD
09+ on an 07-08=Not so much

I got the top from sandorsnow on Sunday and can confirm it fits like a glove. The 07 Freedom top panels just don't make use of the center latch point at the windshield in my 09. They latch together in the middle, and to the sport bars on the sides, but they don't latch together in the middle to the windshield. No problems at 65+ MPH so far and will post a response if any problems with water, leaks, etc but perfect so far

This is a easy fix if you remove the footmans loop and just move to the left one hole. meaning the right side of the loop will mount on the left hole and then drill a new left hole it should work perfectly then fill the empty hole with a plug of some sort.
