If he was I extremely and sincerely apologize. He tagged me in it so I assume he was talking to me. You know what assume does though. The first part of assume is ass lol

Yes I was agreeing with you. I can certainly see how I didn't make it super clear. It was 5 am after a 13 hour shift.
I added the notion that 'a jku is wider than a jk' to the "absurd things you read on JK Forum" thread.

Mark, thanks for helping out with that clarification.

And as the newb who dumbed things down in the first place, my apologies. I actually do and did know that two- and four-doors have the same track width; that part of my post was careless.

Such a claim absolutely deserves a place in the "absurd things you read" category, no doubt.

Only thing my 4door does better than a shorty 2door is pull a boat. Period. If anyone thinks a 4door has any advantage in the trails, you are wrong. Any advantage one might seem to think that a 4 door has over a 2door, with regards to up and down straight on approach, is wrong also. The added weight of the 4 door more than subtracts from its 20" advantage in stability.

Not so. I've seen two doors rocking back hard on rear springs ascending hills that four door easily surmounted.

And here's another situation where the four door is better than the two door. Yes, it's an unusual formation, but rocks aren't all that usual, which I suppose is why we enjoy crawling over them ...

And I was traveling behind a two door JK for 35 miles our to the north rim of the eastern end of the Grand Canyon last year and he was having great difficulty keeping his Jeep traveling straight down that washboard road. My ride was filling-jarring rough, but at least my Jeep went where I pointed it.
