Default 17.9 mpg?

I just picked my jeep up from getting a new bumper after rear-ending someone. When I dropped it off Monday, it was at 14.4 mpg. Picked it up today and it's at 17.9. Wtf??? I mean I'm not complaining but how did it bump up so quick???? It did go to the dealership as well so they could check out the front end, but found nothing wrong.

Sound like they reset the MPG by holding the button down

I'm guessing they probably had your battery disconnected at some point and that reset your mileage ? I'm sure it will be back at 14 mpg soon

Yup. I was averaging 17.4 around town when I was stock. I miss that mpg.

Yea I agree they probably had the battery disconnected for an extended period. It resets everything after 30 minutes. I'm enjoying my days of 18mpg right now stock but that's not for long.

fine tuned my in town driving habits and now I hover around 16 mpg at all times.....on hwy trips I can get up to 17-18 mpg, but that's it. This is with gears, CAI, exhaust, and SC.
