Default 100% factory OEM Heated seats in a 2012

So, the ONLY option my 2012 is missing... is heated seats.

And i know there are aftermarket options, and even a 'jeep' option that uses switches that aren't the way it's done from the factory...

Being an OCD OEM kinda guy... can someone tell me if this is possible? I know many options can't be added post build, but some seats and 2 buttons, and enabling it in the BCM or wherever StarScan tool device, would would, would it not?

If you add the switches, won't the computer see that it now has the option? or the switches would tell the computer, hey, turn on some butt warmers...

you'd have to know then what wiring harness and where the OEM warmers tie into...

My 09 Tahoe's leather and heated seat/back (and A/C seats lol) have really spoiled me, and I love top down, doors off, etc, and a warm butt for me and the wife would be great.

BUT... I really, really, really, (really) want the SAME setup as it comes from the assembly line...

is this not feasible?

I just asked my parts guy at the dealership where I worked and he said no. I wanted heated seats as well but don't want some cheesy addition. I was a little disappointed lol

Trust me I know. I work in sales at a dealership and wanted some for mine. It's dumb the way the factories package products. They don't want someone to be able to add heated seats to a base sport. They want you to upgrade to Sahara lol. It's all a money grab

I had my local dealer install the factory heated sets in my 2012 2 door. Was about $500. Here is the listing on their web site at Redlands Jeep Chrysler:

Heated Seats
Mopar heated seats are tested to the rigid Chrysler standards. The Mopar heated seats feature high, medium, and low settings. All heated seat kits are deigned to work with cloth or leather.
Additional Details: Heated Front Seats, features 3 heat settings for each front seat
Part Number: 82212697
Installed: $513.00
Part Only: $305.00

$78 off eBay...Install yourself and have 5 settings....Easy saturday project and looks good. I installed them into the rear of our '12 JKUR (Fronts came with heaters already) for the kids. Save the $$$ and get over the "Factory Look" you have in your head...

those are nice; but not the SAME as the OEM setup.

has anyone just bought the switches?

where are the factory leads?

are there any wires under the factory seats not plugged in?

Does anyone have the install video for the chysler install kit?

Maybe not OEM unless a typo, but the factory seats only have 2 heat settings... Plus off.

Honestly I'd rather have a cheesy addition than the stock setup. Not having the ability to turn the heated seats on so that they start getting warm when I use the remote start drives me nuts. If I had an aftermarket setup (where the heated seats button only went live when the jeep was running), I could leave it in the on position and it might even be warm after I start it in the mornings (-30 sucks).
