07 JK 4door leaks
My 07 JK 4 door leaks at the Passenger door. The dealer says its leaking from the driver side and ordered new seals. It leaks from the Passenger side. I read the posts about the washer fix im going to try that in the morning. What can I say to the parts guy to force him to fix it. im going to hog tie him and take him to the car wash put him in the seat and let him get soaked.

I think this is pretty standard for most JKs. (The ones that park in a garage and live in the desert do not leak )
I think one thing to keep in mind as you go through it for yourself is to understand that the dealer or the service department is really not the one to direct your "anger" towards. They really don't have anything to do with it.
Yes they will attempt the "fixes" proposed by Jeep but for the most part they don't work. It's like adding a band-aid to a sword wound... I know it is going to feel like they should be able to fix it and it is there fault, but it is not.
IMO Jeep is the problem. They continued to send out vehicles that have issues and have made no effort to fix the root of the problem.
Hopefully, you will beat the odds. Good luck. Just keep an even temper and remember who to battle with. Some people here say their JKs don't leak, so I guess you have a shot.
I have just learned to deal with the leaks. I'm saving my energy for the bigger problems. You probably won't get many comments here because the issue has been beat to death. The only way to get discussion is to say that all JKs leak... then everyone will chime in. They will also go into the numerous methods they use to prevent a leak.... even though they haven't had one.

You are more than welcome to take a look at my album, i have pics where the dealerships leak speacialist fixed and showed me right away common mistakes that jeep owners make with the tops and maybe this will help you. But it has more to with rubber seals and the way the factory actually stuck the rubber seals on little to no adhesive and some crummy black pasty stuff that I've heard mention as dumb gumb ?
This is the top driverside front of the door where the door surround goes in and the flap normaly gets bent in or in my case I almost ripped of thinking it was left over material. Thats where one of my leaks were at.
This pic is with the door surround in and soft top on to get a better idea where I am reffering to.
This pic is to show you the soft top driversside a piece of foam that blew off my top and I didn't know. When the parts are made at the factory they put anti-adhesion promotors on the pieces so that when it comes time to put items such as this foam sealer it falls off and causes another place for it to leak because the gk=lue did not adhere the to this area. There is one on the passenger side too.
Good luck and hope this was able to help you out some.

I have a 2007 JK with Fredom top. The doors started to leak, more like a flood. The day the dealer changed the door seals, about two inches of standing water on the floors......when I went to pick it up!!!!!! going back Tuesday...
I never had this issue with my '95 jeep. So bummed I traded it for this one. Jeep has to do something....like buy it back.. It's a lot of money for me...I wouldn't mind a drip or so, I love the outdoors, Kayacks, camping, lakes ponds ,.mud, dirt roads, snow, ice I live in Maine that why I have a jeep but even a tent shouldn't leak water like this. I don't even mind not having the carpets (pulled them out after the first flood) . ..... but not deep water.

You gotta wonder how much of a difference this piece makes. I know a few folks who had no problems until those pieces went missing- basically the first time you lower the top!
I had my top in 8 times for leaks- they never replaced those...

I noticed mine came off with the soft top the first time I took it down. I just took those pieces and put them back in the same location but just flipped them over so they stuck to the plastic part that doesn't move.

My Jeep Is fixed.... I kept at it and my last trip to the dealer July 6 2009 was a charm.. It has rained at least 5 times and no water, not a drop... Now I can go back to adding accessories to my awsome red rock crystal jeep.. Maybe a locking gas cover.
FYI
The problem was water entering form the top corner of the doors working it s way to the floor. Charlies Motor Mall (Augusta Maine) fixed it..
