Seat Mounted Fire Extinguisher

The clearance is very tight on Jeeps with full doors. There is no visible clearance when you look down through the window. I have half doors on mine and there is visible clearance.
We made some adjustments during development to ensure there was no contact with the full doors.

tgrt,
Can you provide the model # of the fire extinguisher? It looks to be a Buckeye. What is the rating of the extinguisher? What type of agent?
Also, can you elaborate on the note at the bottom of the product page? Are you saying that the seat needs to be raised a little for the installation or that it has to remain raised after installation too. The reason I ask is that I'm on the tall side and I need the seat to be in the bottom position for driving.

All good questions.
It is indeed a Buckeye, model 2.5 SA ABC. They're good extinguishers and we use them all over the plant. Here are the specifics on the extinguisher (although the model number pretty much says it):
It only needs to be raised a few notches when and if you slide the seat forward.
- ABC
- Dry chemical
- 2.5
- Rechargeable

Thanks. I wanted to get some more details on the fire extinguisher for everyone. I believe these specs are for the correct model from the manufacturer's website:
SPECIFICATIONS
Buckeye’s 2.5 LB V/B ABC Pressure Fire
Extinguisher meets the following specifications.
Capacity: 2.5 lbs / 1.13 kg
U.L. Rating: 1 A:10 B:C
Aluminum Valve
Ship Weight: 5 ½ lbs / 2.49 kg
Height: 14 ¾ in. / 37.5 cm
Width: 4 7/8 in. 12.4 cm
Diameter: 3 3/8 in / 8.6 cm
Range: 9-15 feet / 2.7-4.6 meters
Discharge Time: 9 seconds
Cylinder: Steel
ORDERING INFORMATION
2.5 LB with Vehicle / Marine Bracket
P/N 13315
Also, again about moving the seat up... so you need to ratchet the seat up a few notches as you move the seat forward in order for the rear of the seat (bottom of the backrest?) to clear the stationary extinguisher, right? So if you're moving the seat from all the way back to all the way forward, at what point do you have to move the seat up? 1/2 way along the seat track? 2/3? 3/4?
Sorry for being anal.

I hate to make a big deal about it, because it really isn't. However, I wouldn't settle for anything less than full disclosure.
Questions are good.
