David, I have 4" ProComp springs on my jeep already. Will this set up still work with my springs? I like the ride height on my jeep as it sits now.

Yes the kit will still work and you can keep your springs.

Why do you need bump stop extensions?

With the long travel kit the shocks are longer than the standard shocks so bumpstops are needed so you dont over compress the Shocks.

Also if somebody is buying the long travel kit I tend to think they are going to wheel it harder than a guy with the standard kit so bumpstops are nice to have under extreme flexing situations.

What happens if you over compress a shock? I've heard of this, but never actually seen it. I am concerned about my rears now that I did the EVO Rockstars...

If you use your shock as a bumpstop it can do a number of things

- Blow the seal
- Break the shaft
- Ect

Not good.

David, do we need new bumpstops if we have bumpstops from a BB already installed?

David,

I currently have 2" bumpstops on the rear axle for my current OME setup. Will I need taller one's for the long travel shocks or can I use the 2 inchers?

BTW, got the shocks yesterday as promised. Thanks! Just waiting for the control arms to arrive Friday.
