[QUOTE=blockrockin;3043237]the thing is solid.. dosent make a squeak ..peep or a rattle.. very heavy duty and well built

Have to agree, this is definitely a well built and badass tire carrier.

Can someone post pictures of how it attaches to the vehicle? Some side views, I guess. Also the latching mechanism. Thanks! All the views are from behind, so it doesn't provide much structural detail.

Thanks brother!!! Looks great. Can't tell though whether it connects to the rear gate at all... Also, is it a pain to open and close? I like the control-arm design of it though... Haha.

Prime, here are a few more "vintage" photos of the very first carrier on EVO1 many years ago. It does not connect to the tailgate at all.

It does not connect to rear gate at all. This is a very solid design and yes it take Little more to open and close but in my opinion it is well worth it.

In looking at all these pics I've noticed that it appears the plates on the tubes block view of the tail lights from behind. Can anyone verify this??
I would be upset if johnny law gave me a ticket for tail light obstruction.
BTW this carrier is sick and on my list along with the 1/4 pounder and stinger!
