2012 JK RIPP Supercharger Sneak Peak - Worlds First Supercharged 3.6
#32
As shared by Ripp from dyno runs 3.6 got only 40+ WHP over 3.8!!!
It will be great if 3.6 get more than 300, so I will definitely go for it, currently enjoying my SC 3.8

Dear ripp would you be ever so kind to give us an update. It doesn't matter what you say. Just say some thing. Maybe give us a low down on the development stages. Ie placement of sc, problems you guys ran in to, or just tell us you guys are still alive. Its been awhile... thanks

Apparently in 2014, Chrysler is supposed to be releasing single- and twin-turbo variants of the 3.6 for 370 and 420 HP. Also direct injection as well according to allpar.com. I was under the impression that Chrysler was going to have some supercharged variants for the challenger and avenger, but I'm not sure. It's cool to see all these power options becoming available!

I spoke to the head honcho at a Jeep event in Daytona.
He said they had finished the part-throttle and mid-throttle mapping as that was where the most drive-ability would come from. He was starting to work on full throttle mapping and some tweaks. That was almost 2 months ago. I'm not sure how long the process takes, but he seemed very passionate about making it right.
I was on the bandwagon of the 3.6 being waaaaay better than the 3.8 in terms of performance ( since I have a 2012 ). He said the 3.6 is a better engine, but the real star of the show is the new 5 spd Auto. He said that trans was a fantastic fit the way they did the tq settings and matched it with the 3.6.

This ECU/PCM has been a real nightmare as far as tuning goes. It constantly reverts back to stock settings, making our job of safley fueling your vehicle extremely difficult. We are looking for a September release at this point. Sorry to keep everyone waiting and up in the air, but we do not want to release a "half" a jeep part. All other aspects of our system are spot on and bulletproof. All Hardware aspects are ready for full production. Stay tuned!
