Basically i'm saying i wanna buy wheels i wont have to replace because of lift/bigger tires down the road.

Suggestions? Any current specials?

Thanka

The 17x8.5 ET-6 (4.5" BS) will work on your JK but you'll want to get some wider tires as the 255/75-17 OEM size is a hair to narrow for an 8.5" wide wheel and will stretch.

The wheel dimensions are perfect though for tires up to 37"

Thanks for the info!

Stretching sounds less than ideal
I was trying to avoid having to get both new tires and wheels at the same time but if i am reading your comments correctly, it looks like i wont be able to pull off my original plan. Is this correct?

thanks for your help

Not with this particular wheel.

You could run another wheel model in size 17x8 with either a 0 offset or -6mm offset. The 8" wide wheel will work with your factory tires.

Here are a couple options.

Trying to keep the weight down and wanna stay Alum. If i decide to do just the wheels(and black is what im looking for)
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...r=3&wd=17&rw=8 (the Black, black rock Alum)
would be my pick.
Couple questions:
1. Would this still be good for a tire up to 12.50 if i ever decide to go that route and will it look buldged out?
2. Whats the difference between the 0 offset or -6mm offset? (as the tucked look of the stockers bugs me) not sure which/how one of the noted offsets would change this.

sorry for all the questions

1. A 12.50 will work with the 17x8" but an 8.5" or 9" wide wheel would really be ideal for this wide of a tire.

2. Given both wheels are the same width the -6mm offset wheel will sit out about 1/4" further than the 0mm offset. Generally speaking, lower offsets push wheels out, higher offsets tuck them in.

Just finished installing my 35" BFG KM2's on 15" matte black MB72's tonight. Thanks Discount Tire for the excellent service and an awesome deal.
I know who I'll be calling when we want new tires for the wife's Sahara!
Ran out before dark and grabbed a couple quick pics with the iPhone:

15x8 MB72's and some 33-12.50 DuraTracs, on N'tl Topless Day, were meant for each other!

This last pic, I didn't even edit the rotation...that is the way it was taken by the brave photographer, who tripped and fell at the last minut, as I had a full head of steam brewing, coming out of that ravine... accidents can happen, luckily, just some bruised pride, but what we do is dangerous, and the spectators/photogs MUST always be aware of what's happenning, and how NOT to be put in this position!

Thanks DTD!
