Let me address a couple of things first. When I say old school I was not talking about the size of the rims. If you read the reply I was talking about old school TIRE sizes versus this metric crap we are forced to deal with. Granted I am not one of you young whippersnappers who think we should be more like Europe, go metric, convert to socialism, and pay $9 a gallon for gas. Second of all when you have dropped over $4,000 dollars in the last 2 yrs for tires, you expect that when you say you want something, the company you are doing business with will comply, or give you and explanation why not. I am not "flaming" the company, unless relating a "true" experience is considered "flaming". Personally up until this point I haven't had a problem with Discount or America's Tire until this particular instance. As far as giving them a chance to rectify it, they will get their chance today. Either the problem will be fixed, or something worked out to the point I feel satisfied, or I will personally not do business with them. As far as "checking" them before I left? Shouldn't have to, made very clear what I wanted to the mgr. Kind of like putting new rings in your engine ,hen having to tear it down before you leave,to make sure they did the work. Do not think so!

Let us know how it goes...

I have heard good stories about them taking care of mistakes. I am a member of another forum where a guy bought some tires from Discount and they acciedently put the correct brand and size of tire on his truck but the wrong load rating (LT265/70/17 is what he needed but they made a mistake and put P265/70/17s on). He drove on them for an entire year before he noticed. His receipt clearly said he paid for LT's so he went back and Discount apologized and put the right tires on at zero cost no questions asked.

I also know people who have bought tires and discount, drove on them for a week and decided they didn't like them and were able to return them no questions asked. (Don't you remember the old tv ads where the lady throws the tire through the window?)

As you pointed out the metric to inches conversion is confusing and most likely they got confused and made a mistake when they were selling you the tire, they are only human after all.

Thanks Travis for the info on the mb72 wheels. I just received them today can't wait to get home so I can go get them installed! Only got 4, so I'll be calling back in a week or so to get the fifth.

I want to give a big thanks to Discount Tire Direct's Matt & Travis for helping me make a sound choice. While I didn't actually purchase from Discount Tire Direct, they suggested I visit a local Discount Tire store since I am in Texas and there is a Discount Tire store every 10 feet. They suggested that it would be easier to deal with the store locally however they probably couldn't beat DTDs pricing. With their input I was able to get setup and on my way. They came close price wise, but point is: I'm happy.

Thanks a lot guys.

Got my MB72 wheels from DTD to run with my Duratracs when on the street. Went with the silver finish to switch it up since my other wheels are black. Great price and quick shipping.
