Default Need fuel cap leash (2007)

The leash on my fuel cap has become brittle after many Canadian winters and snapped. I don't want to buy a whole new cap because it is keyed to my Jeep. I was hoping someone might have an old cap lying around that they might be willing to pull the leash off and sell to me or someone might know where I could buy a leash?

Many thanks!

Does your leash attach the same way as on the non-locking cap?

I think so - wraps around the cap and then has a tab that connects it to the vehicle.

(I should say, I realize this is a ridiculous request but I'm now irrationally afraid I'm going to drive off with it on roof)

It looks like you could get the cap without the lock cylinder and move yours over although it's hard to tell if this one does come with the cylinder. You could give them a call. Plus if the tether has dried out, the cap may not be too far behind.
