I think we need to meet closer to 7am and allow a little more travel time due to possible ice/snow/water/closed roads/ farm animals etc......

I'm planning to get to the gas station at 7am.

haha 7 am will hurt, but I agree. I'll be there as close to 7 as possible with whatever conditions I run into on the way (though I'm planning on giving myself a 20-30 minute cushion and aim to get to the gas station at 6:30... so hopefully that'll cover anything from Athens to the station)

Corey, if it's looking like anything closed to prevent me getting there on time, I'll give you a call and let you know, but I feel like 30 minutes should provide enough time to figure out alternate routes, etc.

Default North Alabama Weather

Local weather forecasters predicting warmer temps through the night (33-35), with more rain. Temps will drop, but not until Saturday afternoon when they think we could get a little sleet and snow. Trails should be an absolute muddy mess . . . just how we like 'em.

Default North Alabama

We're getting hammered with rain as I type (weathermen are saying up to an inch) - make sure you bring your galoshes.
