Northshore 4x4 Hammond Paradise ride Sept 20th

OOOFFFF!!!! Some of that looks like fun, but i have no desire to subject my machine to whats going on at about 6:30 in the video. I prefer to not submerge my shit up to the hood in slop. Is there bypasses?
Having said all that, if i would have realized that this is where the ride was, i probably would have went. Let me know next time.

A must do; put it on the list
I just got back and hosed off all the mud. It was hot and buggy, but Man that was fun!
I beat the hell of my JK on the trails; dented the front bumper, dented the rear door driver side on a stump (mild), popped some rivets on my rear wheel well and dislodged the rear bumper... (I might just take the cover off). All considered, not too bad. I probably would have waltzed up the "hard" stuff with a couple inches of lift and bigger tires. The Unlimited tends to high-center on some of the gullies and roots.
Definitely more technical than you might think. Stock jeeps can bypass some of the tough stuff, but you'll likely need to be pulled up with a tow rope in a few areas... I did with a stock Rubicon.
It is private property, so you can't just go up there on your own... you should go with the club on a club ride anyway, since you benefit from the ability to get pulled out by people who know the trails. The Northshore 4x4 guys were all pretty cool too.
Anyway, it is a must do; put it on the list...
I'll post pics later.

Kinda bummed I couldn't go. I figured it might be a little rough being stock after watching that vid, but I knew there was no way that there weren't bypasses around those mudholes the way they were rutting them out. I do like a challenge though. Looks like it is pretty tight getting though the trees in some spots.
Can't wait to see the pics.
