Sorry to hear this Anthony. Have you contacted some of the modification shops yet for a spare 3.8L (the few hundred dollar 3.8L, not the few thousand dollar 3.8L)?

Our neighbors up North apparently had a good time, but man it looks like it was wet at Windrock. At least they had some sun on Sunday.

I have been in contact with Camp @ COP4x4 in AZ (he is actually from HSV), and he is able to get me a take-out 3.8L. But it is in the well above a thousand $ range. Haven't been able to find one in the few hundred $ catagory. I have emailed several of the other shops, but no response from them as of yet. Also, no response from several national salvage yards; and no luck in finding a wrecked JK locally (which is a good thing, I guess ...............)

For now, the Jeep is resigned to being an expensive garage ornament.

I hope none of you guys ever have to deal with this kind of issue with your Jeeps. It is a major PITA.

Sorry to hear about your engine troubles, bro. I hope you get it all worked out. I am gonna make a call to my contact at Chrysler to see if I can hook a brotha up.

Yeah Camp is a Huntsville boy alright... I had lunch with him when I was on Phoenix on business and saw his shop (before he moved again). He is a good guy and living the dream.

Anthony, what was the final verdict with your engine. What exactly is wrong with it? Is there no way to rebuild it?

I would think those vendors that do the hemi swaps would have 3.8Ls available. Would be interesting to see what the charge for them

I really like the way that looks. I'd go for it if I was you.
