Should I jump on it??? that is super cheap...but I know the Thornbird is rough on wear and not so much of a road tire...correct????
did you just use super swamper and road wear in the same sentence?

I think they'll look cool, plus they'll provide the added advantage of drowning out all that racket coming from Anthony's and Tony's Nitto Mud Grapplers.

ya! I want to chop mine bad! Just not that skinny. And I think I'm going to wait until I have big boy tires.

I'd be sure to look up a few reviews on those tires before ordering. I've never heard anything good about them besides the price, which may be because vendors need to move them.

I do know they suck in heavy rain.

Anyone know a good place in the area to get gears done for a decent price that does good work? If I have to pull my Solid diff covers to grind them for clearance for my stock lockers to work properly, I'd like them to go back on covering a set of new 4.88 gears.

I had a set of thornbirds on an old jeep of mine and hated them and yes they suck in rain. I had mine for two weeks hydro planned and rear ended two guys (go figure).
Save your money and spend a little more for a better tire. But thats my opinion, do what you feel is the best deal for you.

Not really. I'd guess that the Rocket City Off Road shop on Jordan Ln does that type work, but none of us have swapped yet (except Taylor, and his e-disco's quit working). I've thought about doing the gear swap myself, but that's the extent of my involvement thus far.

Yeah, sorry bout that!

Tony, as far as someplace local for gear install, I would guess Rocket City Off Road on Jordan, as Gary suggested, or Gilbert's on the other side of Athens. I have only had a couple of experiences with RCOR, and they were ok. Nothing special. Gilbert's was great to work with, but I only purchased parts from them. So can't really comment on their workmanship.
