Alright, the long awaited, updated stats from my post-tuneup roadtrip:
***HWY 72 (Huntsville to Memphis)***
Weather-Sunny, 65 degrees, steady Southwesterly wind ; 52 psi per tire ; mid-grade gasoline ; cruise control & Overdrive on ; no A/C ; windows rolled up ; 68 mph (except for slowing down in Corinth, MS) ; for those who don't know, 72 is like a rollercoaster ride up & down alot
17.4 mpg
***I-40 (Memphis to Little Rock)***
Weather-Sunny, 73 degrees, strong & steady Southwesterly (head) wind ; 52 psi per tire ; mid-grade gasoline ; cruise control & Overdrive on ; no A/C ; windows rolled up ; 72 mph
16.9 mpg
THE RETURN TRIP
***I-40 (Little Rock to Memphis)***
Weather-Sunny, 60 degrees, Zero wind ; 32 psi per tire ; low-grade gasoline ; cruise control & Overdrive on ; no A/C ; windows partially cracked; 72 mph

Wesley's Observations: Somebody tell me how in the F%$* these numbers came to be?!?! Better gas mileage with aired down tires!?! Better economy on the Interstate going ONE direction vs. the other?!? WTF!!!!!
I use the JK's factory mpg guage, yeah yeah...I've heard all the stuff about it being inaccurate, but I have personally found it to be almost spot-on when you rule out human error. I was using the Flashpaq 91 Performance setting, and overall the above figures didn't differ from my previous trips, but boy is the JK a bit peppy on the hills and in passing gear. I might not have gained alot in economy, but the responsiveness and power curve are definently UP. I think the weather was a major contributing factor (wind & temp), and my personal experiences are that the JK loves the 60 degree temperature range. Anything cooler or hotter sucks the life out of the little minivan motor.
Thoughts? Comments? Anybody even give a F???
